Unhappy Intermittent Glow Plug Light

I own a 1995 S 350 Diesel. I am having to turn the ignition on and off several
times before the glowplug light comes on. Will it damage the engine to start
without the glowplug light coming on? It seems to me that a good contact is
not made each time. Please advise.

In the same 1995 S 350 Diesel, I am getting a very bad vibration in the
steering wheel when decelerating from 65 mph to about 55 mph. The tire-rod
end and the right front tire has been replaced as advised by a technician. I
was told the tire was defective after replacing the tire-rod end.

Thanks,
Robert

When I start my diesel before the light comes on and then off, the car starts hard and sputters before it gets smooth. When I had 1 bad GP, it would glow, turn off and then when I started it, it would also be rough. Also after it ran, the GP light and MIL came on.

Change all the GPs or at least take them out, clean them up before they get stuck. People are all about the 1000000 mile plug and at the end of it, the plug gets stuck in the head. I plan to take mine out every year as a PM issue. Cost is about $10 since I can DIY and I need a new intake manifold gasket.

Maybe the relay that sends a signal to the bulb is faulty? Don't know, just throwing out ideas.

I need to see if there is one....I find it quite annoying.....but not as annoying as a car that doesn't start.
