Talking Here is what I did - I wonder if it will work!

well there has been a lot of banter about return line fuel hoses (mostly from me) and the difficulty in finding a replacement for the braided hoses. While I come to grips with going to the stealership I am going to try this:
I found fuel lines used in commercial grade mowers and chainsaws
The size is right and fit very securley over the injector nubs
It took a bit of work to seat them they were so tight. I only replaced 2 of them as a trial, but I will let you all know how it works out
Seems OK to me. My only concern is if they will stand up to the heat, but I figure chain saws get pretty hot!
More to follow, and I am man enough to take anything you all have to throw at me, I am only out $1.75

Keep a close eye n your fuel gauge. If one fails you will lose a quarter tank before you catch it. Don't ask me how I know this.

Cool... you saved about $5.00. The fuel that is returneed is about as much as the engine burns so like Old Deis says, better keep an eye on things.

A buddy of mine just picked me up enough to do the engine for $8.

You can buy the proper braided hose, in sufficient length to do the complete engine from Rusty, for under $8.00.

Why reinvent the wheel.

Even though my engine is crap, I like the way it looks. Part of that look is the correct braided return lines. If they were $50 bucks I could understand. They're $8 bucks!!!!

Well then, maybe he can reinvent the oil cooler lines. Those two are a total of over $200. from the dealer.

Now, there is something that needs a proper reinvention.

they are working......
but I am going to get the braided hose anyway
when I am by a dealer and do not have to pay shipping
mainly because the lines are yellow and made in Japan.
it is cool however to see just how much fuel does go through these lines

whunter, thanks for sticking up for me!
