I like RV's alot, theyre a neat idea, and having one builton a sprinter van would be preferrabble, but whats wiith the cheesy graphics theyre alwways flashing around... looks like thhe peoople in chharge of designing thhe outside- paint colors, striipes, etc. got stuck in thhe early too mid 90's!
The coolest motorhome ive ever seen is the BMW Vixen... no othher RV looks anythhing like it! |
Well fellas, speak up!
All this Chrysler/MB cross-dressing has yielded a Mercedes diesel powered RV. Maybe there are a few good things that came from the takeover of '98. |
Looks pretty nice. Finally a reasonably sized RV with diesel power on a decent chassis. Should be a winner. RT

Now only if the darn sprinter weren't so ugly.

I agree on the Vixen. I've been in one. They are very expensive and parts would be a nightmare. That's why I went for my 409d. It's just about the same length as the Vixen but much taller.
For comparison purposes can anyone estimate the fuel economy for a similar sized motorhome to the Sprinter but built on a Dodge pickup chassis with the Cummins diesel? Would it also get around 19mpg? My neighbor has told me he gets better than that in his mid 90's Dodge diesel pickup. |
Answer: A Dodge Cummins turbo diesel motorhome appears to get around 14-15 mpg. Here's a story:
