What the H?

What mechanic in their right mind would risk his reputation working on that? Do you take it to the GM dealer and get laughed out of the service bay? Or to the MB dealer or Indy and watch him double over in laughter?!

No, you take it to the M/B dealer and then I watch you double over in pain.

As scary as it sounds, it might actually be a decent combination. The Tahoes are decent light truck platforms, and the 603 is a great engine. It looks really good under the hood too... whoever did the engine swap put some time into it.

The problem is the fact that you do not get the Tahoe. For that money you only get the engine and transmission.

woah... nevermind. I thought it was the complete vehicle with engine. I see now, after re-reading the auction.

On the downside, the GM transmission isn't anything to write home about, and with 4.56 gears, the engine would probably be screaming bloody murder most of the time.

Interesting.

Yes the same engine you can get on ebay for about $2,000 with as much of a warranty as this one.

hmm... 12 grand for an engine that fits in a GM truck.....a turbo 300GD g-wagen that has all of the mechanical off roading goodies makes more sense!
