I'm a little leary of the recent paint, alternator, etc... why would someone sell a car they'd just spent so much on as a non-runner? If it's just bad glow plugs, why not swap them and get the car running? I'll bet she'd clear $2k or so running. Seeing as the glow plugs aren't that old, though, they're probably not the only problem. Might be a nice car that's somewhat local to me... too bad there's not more info in the description! Chris |
I did e-mail the seller and recieved a reply. The glow plugs are just part of the problem - there is an issue with the starter as well. To make a long story short he made it fairly clear that this should be hauled off not driven which leads me to believe there are some other problems under the hood.

"there is not much visual rust now, but there was body work done on it and from what I recall it had some on the quarter panels and on the front lower panel" I think I'll pass. If it doens't get any bids, I may go look at it next time I'm down his way. Maybe offer $400 or so if it if halfway decent (???). Chris |
It got a bid! Anyone here? If it went unsold I thought I'd offer to come have a look, but it looks like the high bidder has great feedback. He'll probably follow through. Shame about the color!
