Free Haynes Manual to good home

I bought a Haynes w123 Manual back when I was looking at buying a w123 and ended up with a w126. If any new people on the forum want it to help them learn, they can send me some postage (few bucks) and I will drop it in the mail to them. I think it was $15. Welcome new Mercedes owners or if anyone wants to give it a home you can! 1976-1985 200D-300D. Email me at willrev@earthlink.net

I believe each of these cars are the final production year for that model.

No good deed goes unnoticed! That was mighty kind of you... I am sure your generosity will come back tenfold. Nice to know there are still folks around who will help each other out. When I got my 76 300D, Joe B. invited me to his house for a valve-adjustment lesson and gave me some great advice... all out of kindness.

This forum is great!

Chris

Thumbs up

I too wish Haynes would make a W126 manual... I have mine from my 123 days and keep it for the diesel info contained within and the basics on wiring schematics and misc info. It's not 100% specific, but for sure helps.

Also have a brand new battery that needs a home

I also have a brand new 850cca battery from Advance Auto that needs a new home. I got stranded in Virginia 300 miles from home with a bad alternator. It took two batteries to get me home. I charged it up and it is fine. I had to stop at 9pm at a Sears on the side of Interstate 95 and buy a second new battery to get home the next morning. I will part with it cheap, cheap if I can find someone close who needs it rather than let it sit up and go bad.

Any newbies that need a new battery in their 240 D, 300 D or 300sd??

Great attitude!

Willrev,

Thanks for thinking of the others that need the "stuff" you have acquired. It reminds me of a car swap meet at Lowes (Charlotte) Speedway a couple of years ago. I guy rented a spot and was giving away old Chevy parts ( late 40's I believe) with a sign saying "I'm done, hope these can help you - price is free"). This is the great part of these forums and the car hobby in general.

Chuck
