take out?

83-240d you should share the location of that restaurant as it seems to be one of those rare "you can get anything you want at this restaurant" type of places. Some of the younger forum members may be starving is it fair to deprive them? I never did see myself as god's gift to women regardless of what the girls used to say. They had to be almost tearing my clothes off before I got the message. The reality unfortunatly is that I have my hands full so to speak keeping the fires under control at home at age 62. Guess I have found out what the expression really means of being into antiques. Never thought I would live long enough to consider grandmothers could be fair game. One very active forum member warns you to watch your daughters. Pretty soon I will have to post "watch your mothers and grandmothers" I suspect. For some of us guys it's pretty much the same as a dog chasing car tires. Your in pretty good shape until you get your teeth into the tire. Well back to reality again as my diesel is frozen up this morning. Have not had a fuel related problem for over ten years and thought it was a thing of the past as well. Suprise.

Sounds like Aklim is mbz.org banned list material. He could get all the crude comments out of his system on that list and come back here renewed. There's a guy on that list from Hustisford, WI so Aklim would have a neighbor...

You probably should have told the lady that you own many Mercedes, vintage and new, and that that particular one you were restoring to mint condition so it could be sold at an auction to support crippled children.

Then tell her about the back seat, and how you just rebuilt the springs, and weren't sure if they were adjusted right, and how it would help to have a second person back there to help get a 'feel' for it all.

At least, thats what I would have done.

Or rather, thats what I would have thought about doing, and then chickened out. Oh well, I love my girl, but its fun to imagine being a roving Mercedes Stud, blowing biodiesel smoke up all the girl's skirts.

peace,
sam

back seats-cars

Fear all my back seats like me have led a pretty sheltered life as they always seem to be in great shape. Reminds me of the time I asked a girl if she wanted to get into the back seat of the car as we were driving along and she responded no I would rather be with you. Funny though all four of my daughters report unusual amount of attention given them when driving the 123s. Years ago my buddy brought a new e type jaguar as a girl magnet. Pretty sad as the v12 gave 4 mpg and had far less attraction to the fair sex than a corvette he claimed. Timing chain parted company at 41 thousand and the car still sits in his garage for the last 30 years or so rusting away slowly. All my prompting to bring car back to life fell on deaf ears. Guess he could not forget or forgive how the car let him down. Or perhaps he feels it's responsible for the wife he has now? But in reality back seats are part of our ongoing culture and I have the proof. Happen to own a pretty good 39 buick restro rod. Wherever I take the car older women in pairs almost always come up and one almost always remarks to the other (do you remember the big back seats like this one) I kid you not. It's pretty constant and the women do not hesitate to mention this with me present. Most thread readers are too young to remember the nash cars that the seats folded down into a bed. This ideal for whatever reason was not carried forward. If our canadian government thought small back seats were responsible for the declining birth rate I suspect larger back seats would be mandated immediately. Guess I could still force myself to vote for this, if offered, to help the young ladies out.

Bigger back seat = production of the VW Type III Squareback
That rear seat folds down and you have oooodles of happy space..
Or the notorious VW shaggin wagon Transporter (bus).

A few months back a friend of mine asked her to pick her up from work in South Beach(miami hotspot) as I was slowing cruising for a parking space near the restaurant she works at- these 2 Very Attractive Hot Looking Latina models came running along the curb with Camera in hand-as the car ahead of me was a late model Black MB Convertable with 2 Young guys oggling the Babes-I assumed they were headed for That car. I was in my little Red VW Beetle TDI and to my Shock and Delight, they came up to my car and said "Mister can we sit on the Hood of your car and get a picture?? Never refusing two damsels in need I willingly obliged . The best part was the look on the faces of those 2 Young Guys in the Black MB Convertable-they appeared to be in Cardiac Arrest at being passed up for a VW-a Kodak Moment . Then my ladyfriend came out and the party ended for this 58 yr. old.
