where can I get the splined socket for the IP seals?

I'd like to replace the delivery seals on my '87 300SDL within the next couple weeks while I'm also replacing the glow plugs. I'm going to do the o-rings and crush washers since they're cheap. I've done loads of searching and have determined that is probably a cause of my poor cold running.(missing, smoke, knocking). I figured it would be eaiser without the manifold in lace so that's why I'm just going to just go ahead and do them then.

Do you guys have any idea where I could buy or rent that socket from?

Thanks
David

www.samstagsales.com has about any tool you need for a Mercedes. Excellent quality and original German manufacturers.

Are there any cheaper places? From what I've noticed, Samstag really likes to charge their fair share of pennies.

Thanks
David

You are also supposed to replace the little springs while you are in their. I didn't but I didn't know at the time! They look real cheap, can't cost more then a $1 each. Make sure to clean every spec of dirt off the top of the IP, treat the area like you are preforming surgury. I got lucky someone lent me the socket, but it would be a nice tool to have.

Performance Products also has the tool. Perhaps even Phil can get it for you.
