Diesel Fueling Stations

Hi Gang,

This may sound stupid, but I am considering traveling from Vancouver, Canada to Seattle in my 300D and I was wondering, as I hum along I-5 and discover I need fuel, how do I find a Diesel seller? Can you tell from a highway sign, or are there certain companies that always sell Diesel? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Usually most of the bigger stations have at least one Diesel pump, the smaller "compact" stations often don't. I don't think you'll have any problem along an interstate finding Diesel, just watch where the trucks are going.

Definetly a truck stop will have diesel on the highways. Also you will find that if a gas station sells diesel, it will have the price listed seperately on their sign. Diesel is always listed at the bottom and 99% of the time it's in green. So from a distance you can pick out the diesel selling stations. Have a nice trip. Just in case, bring along a few jugs of Wessen or Crisco veg. oil.

Here in Michigan, each Interstate exit also lists various services, including Fuel. Mobil, Shell and others have added the black-on-yellow word "Diesel" to advertise stations that have, well, Diesel for sale.

Check the exit signs, and happy motoring

Best Regards,
Jim

gas stations would be stupid if they did not carry diesel on the I 5, don't worry though just go to the larger stations the usually have signs up miles before telling you what's ahead, have fun

I forsee no problems...diesel is realitively popular in a logging/farm/wet state heh.
I-5 has oodles of them even down here. I think the only station I have ever seen without diesel was a Cheveron station in Wilsonville, OR.
Odd...
Throw in a 5gal can...that'll get you 100 miles to the next station whenever you need it :D

You should have no problem. Truck stops are everywhere! :) Usually the signs that tell you about food/lodging/fuel as you approach an exit will tell you which stations have diesel as well.

If you're still uncomfortable about it, buy a big plastic kerosene can, fill it with diesel, and put it in the trunk. :)
