This would be correct. The mass of the vehicle on one side of the equation (kinetic energy) cancels with the mass on the other side (frictional force).

The formula is: vē=2 μgd

μ is the coefficient of friction
g is the acceleration due to gravity
d is the distance of the skid
v is the initial velocity of the vehicle
