Online Tech Help!

I am sure some of you have been to other forums such as benzworld and such and I know this site for 123's is hands down the best I have seen. Especially with such quick responses from all of you. I am starting feel like family..Maybe the uncle who just doesn't know anything..(You know the uncle that rode the short bus growing up.. :D ) Anyway I did find on the other site some useful links to help us out. I am not sure if they do or not but here it is.

I've been to benzworld, not as much useful info. I seem to remember a thread by you there where you said your car was in a Mercedes ad? Am I thinking of someone else?

Thanks

Delano,

Thanks for noticing. That was me. I am pretty proud of my car for making it in. I actually enjoy the other site for the SLK's but for the 123's we are all better off here. This crowd seems more knowledgeable and mature.

it seems the people over at benzworld arent nearly as DIY oriented as the folks here at MBshop...i was browsing the other day and found a thread where this guy thought he had ruined his transmission...he said it just started slipping badly as he was coming off an exit ramp....most every post was saying,"bummer, thats gonna cost a lot" basically....no one tried to diagnose the problem and help him deal with it, whether it be fixing it himself or correctly recommending he have the tranny rebuilt....everyone just sympathized with him....if that had happened to me, i would have ended up spending over $2500.00 for a new tranny, rather than the $200 i actually did spend for a new B2 piston....the wealth of knowledge and access to info that MBshop members possess farrrrrr surpasses that of any other forum i have yet to come across
