85 300D Perfect dash is ruined by stain. Any ideas for fix??

After finally aspiring to the level of actually owning an older german car with a presentable dashboard, disaster strikes. I loaned the car to the GF because her 300d needs an axle...

She has one of those stainless steel no-slip no-spill coffee mugs...
Well the mug had some water or coffee or something on the bottom rubber i guess. When I got the car back and sat down, the first thing I saw was a horribly grotesque 5" stain staring at me like a GIANT EVIL EYEBALL.
Just how evil this eyeball stain was became apparent when I tried to wipe it clear with a damp cloth.

It was not even phased.

On close inspection it almost looks like the liquid removed some of the color from the black dash. Very much like a water stain on a wooden surface. Does anyone have any ideas or magic fixes to get rid of this? So far I have only tried a damp cloth. Thanks in advance.

A little 303 should clear that right up. I had a few white spots from water on my dash and window sill. (washing the car I went to move it and my hands were still wet ) With a little 303 they wipe right away.

Same here I use 303 on everything.

quick detailing tip:
Wipe the plastic around your car down with it, after you wash the car. It will dry it and give you a nice finish.

I've looked for 303 at the auto parts store and at Target, no joy. Where can it be found, or must it be ordered?

You might try some GoJo (or other hand cleaner if you have it). GoJo works good for taking out stains.

Thats where I buy mine! I get it for $9.50 for a large spray bottle. Nothing like a 30% discount.

But I know the large chain stores carry it; West Marine and Boaters World.
