PS: The kit I got also performed a miracle on my 560SL stainless steel bumper covers (not chrome!). I didn't have to replace them like I thought I would have to. Won't do a thing for dents, but absolutely wiped out all signs of almost 20 years of scratches!

Here's what you need to do with the manifolds and pipes...

This is where I took my exhaust's and high heat items. This process competes with Jet Hot.

Of course, the main reason I choose this company is because it's actually in Dallas, and I dont have to ship or wait for shipping, etc.

I would like to have the exhaust manifold ceramic coated for heat retention and quicker spooling.........maybe the intake too. Doubt thats going to happen however. Money is money.

I will get my valve cover powder coated soon to. But I think I will color match the valve cover to the body. Can they do a few colors? I would like to have the star and raised strips in silver.

I don't plan on doing anything to my manifold yet, but if the valve cover comes out nice maybe I will have the manifold and crossover done in silver like your valve cover.

Eventually my exhaust manifold will get Jethot coated too.

Yeah, I wanted the emblem to be contrasted, but the only way it to buff off the color that is powder coated to give the contrast. The coolest thing they do is colorize chrome. They has an awesome black chrome valve cover, but it requires an already chromed valve cover, or to have your's chromed, which is more involved than I wanted to get.

It also looks fantastic.

How much of that "elbow grease" color is required for that result?
NA
air filter covers and turbo air filter covers are made of different metals- at least the two on my wagons are different. Most turbo AFC are painted black- most NA's are not painted at all. I did the same treatment to my turbo wagon (after taking the paint off) and it didn't stay shiny very long at all. With the miracle metal polish is took about an hour to get it like that. I tell you the stuff just knocks the snot out of "never dull, noxon, bar keepers friend" or anything else I've seen anyone use, and there is very little EG needed in comparasion to the others. I have no personal or financial interest in the product or company BTW.

exhaust header pieces CERMAKROMED

Got my exhaust header pieces back with the heat dispersing ceramic coating. I am having the remaining air intake pieces powder coated to match the valve cover. Can't wait to get it all done.

You might want to run a 3/4" tap through the pipe nipple that feeds the EGR. A 3/4" hex socket plug in this location sure beats the copper plate that must be secured with a clamp and sealant (for testing purposes of course).

This was done by another member with apparent success.

Where can I get one of those? Is this in addition to your kit, or instead of?

It's "instead of" for the exhaust plate.

It's a much nicer and cleaner install with a socket set screw in there rather than my copper plate. It completely eliminates the clamp. No sealant required, either.

Now, I have not personally tapped the cast iron myself. I'm just relaying what one other member has done. He said it was accomplished without any real issues.

I did the plug the vacume line thing on my 300D.........for now anyway. Considering swapping the intake and exhaust from a pre-egr turbo engine.

Like after I strip my parts car when warmer weather arrives. Considering Jet-hot before it goes on however. No rust and shiney.

Rather than bother removing the second manifold, you could also consider tapping the manifold when you pull it. I'd tap it, install the plug, and then send it for the Jet-hot.
