A pair of 280TE headlight wipers? Mine seem to be missing. I found some in England, but at 15 pounds sterling plus shipping.....

Which word is "junkyard"? Can you lay that out phonetically for me?

Yes, they do indeed have auto salvage yards in Germany. I've been to a number of them. They are called dismantlers and I don't remember the German word for that.

If you are looking for 124 or 123 parts, I think you will have better luck in Poland or other former Eastern Bloc countries. Germany has very few of the older cars for a number of reasons. In fact in 2000 through 2002 I traveled Germany and all of Western Europe extensively and saw fewer 123 cars there than I do in the states. Most of them have gone to the Eastern Bloc countries.

As far as what to get, make sure you get the headlight vacuum switch and if other than 123, get the escutcheon plate in which the switch mounts to go with your Euro lights.

Gute Reise,

asherical mirror glasses

I'd go for aspherical mirror glasses for the driver side. These are not available here, but are extremely useful for safe highway driving.
