Depends what you need. Most suppliers use WorldPac so prices don't vary too much. I would use a supplier that supports the MBZ online community either Fastlane or Rusty at www.***************.

So you run your diesel on fish oil up in Alaska?

Living in Alaska makes the cost of shipping auto parts by UPS very expensive. I need to find a parts supplier that mails parts to AK through the USPS

Fish oil is just now becoming viable. There are a few fixed gensets that are currently using it. Don’t know of any vehicles running on it yet. It will attact bears.

Given that the Fastlane and Parts Shop on this site support this wonderful site and have competitive prices, I would recommend that you give them a try. Phil does a great job helping his customers and shipping parts promptly.

I have found that he has the best prices on some parts and almost the best prices on other parts, but it all seems to even out in the end. They are very easy to get along with and are such gentlemen that I've never seen them edit such threads as this one where there is information posted here that might encourage you to buy your parts elsewhere.

For me, though, I prefer to support the folks that support this site. Somehow posting links to other parts suppliers here is sort of like standing at your local auto supply parts counter and telling the customer next to you that he can get a better price down the street. Maybe it's just me.

Have a great day,

Well stated by Larry. Phil will go out of his way to find the parts and sort out the questions and get it right. I will very highly recommend them.

Phil's office appears to be located in SO CA, he might likely be able to take full possession of the part AND then ship it to you USPS. He also has access (or should) to SSF and IMC, two other SO CA wholesale suppliers. SO CA can have its advantages.

Some of his parts are dropped shipped from locations closer to you.

Good luck,

While I would agree to support the sponsors of our forum, there are times I need parts as soon as I can get them. In situations like that I have a parts supplier that is a WorldPac distributor and I am able to get special order parts the same day if I order in the morning. Also, I don't have to pay any shipping charges as long as I pick them up myself.
