To me this puts you in the same catagory as the disturbed woman who has 50 cats running around the house....

Gee Bill I'm sorry,
What was it we said that made you think we care what you thought? What is your reason for busting Rleo's knads for naming his vehicles? Pity.
"Diesel with attitude"? Whatever........

I've been calling mine 'Silver Surfer', though in your case 'Silver Sitter' might make more sense.

Just kidding!

I'm really just doing a long term study on the structural integrity of my jackstands.

Silver Flash (we just call it The Flash now) came from the fact that it is the slowest vehicle I've ever driven. That includes an automatic 240D, which would indicate I have more problems than just smoke.

Also, sorry for my above rant. Should have just said it was silly.

IN principle, I agree with billrei on both accounts. The CORRECT fluid is $8/quart. That's $16-24 to do the whole system with a GUARANTEED proper fluid. You're trying to find something that "might" work to save $0.59??? I'm all for using whatever works in most things and certainly NOT the "MB-only" type, but hell, why not use restaurant grease that you can get FREE that "might" work and save even MORE money! If you need a source for the Febi stuff at $8/quart email me.

As for people naming their mechanical devices (cars, etc.), I have never understood that either, but I accept it. As a mechanical engineer and mechanic all my life, I can see how someone can fall in "love" with something mechanical and want to name it, just not "my" thing.

300TD= My Bi*ch!

Cats= Cindy, Blacky, Dump 1, Dump 2, Dump 3, Sscooter, Tom and Jerry.

We all have our little per-peeves. I hate when people, even more so in 300D's, don't use their turn signal!
