Leesburg?! Nice little town.

I think that after you have driven the 300D for awhile you will prefer it to the SD. The W123 I feel is much more nimble and quick than the W126. The W126 seems like it has too much body and weight to get it going and the W123 can whip in and out of traffic.

Enjoy it. I'm jealous!

Unfortunately, with a small population base, West Oz doesn't have many 300Ds, and NO turbo Om617 (except one in a G wagen I saw). The cheapest W123 300D I have seen here is $2K, the A/C is shot, and it has a rough body.

I AM JEALOUS

Somewhere I will find that Special 300D (actually, I have it already. an '84 with 280 000km on the clock and generally good condition all around. - Paid Au$4500 for it from a friend - now to find an OM617 Turbo to fit it.)
