BMW seats in my 240D
I got the driver's seat in anyway. As soon as I can find another passenger side seat frame to scavenge for the rear mounting boxes, I'll bolt in the other seat. The seat belts bolt right in to the benz mounting points. I took some pictures, here is the link:
Yahoo photos I also have my euro lights in, I really like the round type, I'm glad they are less popular than the square style.

You might want to look for some SEM leather paint to do some color matching

I wouldn't mess with MB's original design if I were you. The way the seats are made contribute to the overall engineering of the car for occupant safety. Just my two cents.

Done properly, one could probably make the car safer. Obviously, the seat's mounting need to withstand many G's. But a well made seat (like BMW) also provides more support where needed around the neck and lower back. For such a safe and reliable car, MB was behind a few other companies 20-30 years ago when it came to seat design. I have a pair of BMW seats in my basement which I'll put in my car later this year for the same reasons.

My point wasn't about which seat is stronger or better. My point was about the fact that the entire car is made to work well exactly as it is. Altering stuff may create negatives or positives. However, you have no means of determining that, so the best thing is to leave the car as the engineers intended it to be. But that's just me. The nice thing about life is that everyone can do as they wish in some cases and be responsible for their actions.

I actullay use to have BMW seats in my house. They were huge when I was 8 years old. They would be used for home theater seating, they were very comfertable.

Replacing an automotive seat with a lawn chair might not be the best thing for occupant safety, but replacing an automotive seat with a better seat from a more modern vehicle shouldn't be any problem at all.
How much more comfortable are they? Where did you get them (and how much did you pay)? How difficult is the installation? peace, sam

How hard was the swap - were they anywhere close to each other, or did you have to do a lot of adapting?
