High pitched squeak, parking brake pedal mushy - stuck parking brake?

Hello,
I noticed while driving to work this morning that there is a high pitched sound coming from the car when driving at low speeds, below 15MPH. Not sure if it's coming from the front or back, I'll have to go back out and take a closer look/listen in a little while. I also noticed that the parking brake pedal is very mushy, it's a lot easier to push down than it usually is. Is it likely that part of the parking brake assembly came loose, and now they're stuck on all the time? I had the rear brakes (rotors and calipers) replaced by my local indy recently, he usually does good work but it's possible that the parking brake was incorrectly adjusted, or maybe just came apart due to old age and cold weather. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Nate
