How to replace the door seals on w115
 

I have a 74 240D that needs new door seals. Can anyone tell me how to replace them?

Pretty well same body as 114 I believe. Weatherstripping is attached by glue as well as nylon fasteners that look like giant thumbtacks. One could use a modern powerful adhesive only to mount the new ones once the old glue is cleaned off to assure a good bond. Rubber for this body is getting up there so a good shopping effort is in order. Just some opinions although better are probably available by posting on the antique or early portion of this site. :)
