I purchased a 1983 240d with a blown engine. Last night I completed a transplant of a 1981 240d engine into this car but I'm having trouble with the car shutting off (door locks work). I don't think I hooked up all the vacuum lines back correctly. Does anyone have (or could take) any pictures of the engine with the closeup on the vacuum lines and post them please. You can also e-mail them directly to my e-mail (igor@schmelzvw.com). I really really need this bad since we're getting a foot of snow tonight and I need to drive the car about 10 miles to storage. I appreciate all your help.
