Talking How stupid can people be thread!

Ok I can't resist, I was heading down to Bridgeport this morning and I saw something that is not only stupid but funny. I was in the center lane going about 65 and a state cop passes me in the left; he is probably doing 75-80. When the cop was about 1/2 a mile ahead of me a black Infiniti shot past me in the left lane at about 90. Now I can't beleive this guy didn't see the marked cop car in the left hand lane, but he continues like he didn't. He then procedes to ride the cops bumper for about a minute. The cop then pulls to the center lane to let the Infiniti pass. But wait it gets better; the Infiniti's driver must have just realized what he did and in a panic pulls into the same spot in the center lane that the cop is sitting in. Needless to say the now pissed off cop lights him up and they pull over for a talk. I was thinking yes I hope the cop nails him good for being that stupid.

What makes this better is I was following the cop at about 75 (speed limit 55) for a bit as we passed some slow traffic. He didn't even give my SDL a second glance.

In one of our milwaukee snow storms, I watched a guy in the apartments accross from my office do something stupid. His chevy Caprice was stuck in his driveway (91-96 body style) He got some tire chains out of his trunk.

Are you ready?

Are you sure?

Are you Positive?

HE PUT THEM ON THE FRONT !!!!!!

In the end a buddy came over with a 4WD and pulled him out.
This guy looked about my age mid 30s. The cars been there 2+ years.

Hay Hattie, I saw the exact same thing happen when I lived in Ct. It was during a summer's late Friday afternoon. A Ct. state cop, in his unmarked Crown Vic, roof lights installed, was passing me and a whole bunch of others going north bound 95 in heavy traffic doing about 15 mph faster than the traffic around him, everybody yeilded the cop, but not the gamoke with his family in the car behind him with New Jersey plates, the fool was persistant, right on the cop's bumper! So the cop politely pulled into the right lane to let him pass, and you know the rest! I laughed so hard!!!

Dumbest thing I ever saw on the highway was a construction worker "balancing" on the jersey barriers like it was a tightrope.

She (it was a woman) had her orange vest and hardhat on, and was balancing with her arms straight out to each side as traffic flew by on either side.

I'm suprised she didn't cause a wreck.

This was a marked state patrol car! I could understand if it was an unmarked car but this thing wasn't. He wasn't even looking to pull anyone over he was just heading somewhere.

BTW CT cops use:
Camaros
Impalas
Intrepids

Most are silver or gold without hub caps.

Speed

Racing snowmobiles on US23 south of Flint, Michigan.
In traffic, during a nasty snow storm.

In the VW pic above, look in the car, theres at least 20 bags of concrete in there. I used to have the description of that picture somewhere. The rear suspension just gave out and blew up.

Was the cop going above , at, or below the posted limit?

Back in the late 1970's when the double nickel speed limit was imposed some cops got hyper aggressive enforcing the law. My brother and I were tooling along some small highway in New Hampster in our 1100cc Fiat 128 doing the speed limit since it involved a slight incline! Suddenly this crusier appears out of nowhere and starts tailgating us for several miles. As soon as we stopped climbing and the road straightened out he jumps into the other lane and passes us under full acceleration and disappears off in the horizon. Something clicks in the back of my mind that this guy is still playing with us so I held it steady at 55. Sure enough about 5 miles ahead he is standing out there with his radar gun. We could see his frustration as he got back in the crusier and took the next exit... F'er...

I believe it....cops would rather harrass drivers than fight the real crime. Why else is it easier to find a cop on a speed trap than a cop anywhere near a high crime district.

Ok, this was Christmas eve last year. There was a light snow overnight in west Texas around where I-10 and I-20 come together and the temp was between 5 and 10 for a low that night, the few trucks that had run all night did a good job of packing the snow down to really slick black ice. I was pulling a trailer with three horses in it and doing between 45 and 50 and cars just kept whipping by at 70-75....... most of the big rigs were smart enough to keep it around 50. I saw almost half of the cars that were passing me again within five minutes, most of them were upside down with people crawling out the windows or standing around looking at it as I went by, this was probably a dozen cars in 30 minutes. This may not sound like terrible condidtions to most of you but you have to remember that there really aren't any sand trucks out there and these were Texas drivers who can't drive on ice...... or in rain...... or when it's foggy...... or......
