Hello,
I think I've figured this out. When I was taking my sunroof apart at the body shop, I noticed a spring inside the shaft of the handle. I think this spring is supposed to hold some kind of pin or ball bearing against part of the hinge, so that the handle stays locked vertically when you pull on it. Without that piece, the spring is useless and the handle angles backwards when you pull on it. Can anyone with a correctly working sunroof handle please enlighten us as to what this part looks like? I'd rather not pay stealership prices if it's something that can be found at the hardware store for a few pennies.

Thanks,
Nate
