Engine mount and engine vibrations!
A few weeks ago I found my drivers side engine mount was about to take a dump (See Pic). I devised a "hold-down" bolt to keep it in place if it were to go out before I could replace it (See second pic).
This works very well. The body no longer shakes side-to-side, the engine does not rock, and the click on left turns are no more. The down side of the idea is vibrations. When I'm on the move everything is perfect, but at Idle the engine will vibrate your teeth out (and everything else). Besides rattling my brain loose (Even more ) will I harm anything on the engine or risk damaging the body crossmember? |

Why don't you just change the mount? Mine were only $17 and that side is simple.
