If I remember correctly those 6.5's don't have a very good reputation. I know a 30ft Shannon with them and while he does have 2k hours on them they are gettting tired. The heat exchangers don't last and I think he has had the turbo's done. I know the guy that works on them he likes the boat but thinks the engines are a pos. Cummins B series would be a better choice. They seem to be a "throw away" diesel like the Cat 3208's.

THe 6.5's bad rep was from the IP....the Electronic driver would overheat and fail....the motor itself isn't the most powerful out there but it is a solid reliable engine.
