Stolen hood star!!!!!! I'm pissed!!!!!

So I'm at IUP for my last semester before leaving for PSU....

I had my 300TD parked in the student lot for a semester and a half, and no one touched it. This weekend I moved it up to a closer lot near my dorm, and some-no-good-piece-of-trash stole it off my car!!!!!!! I was so mad.......
I know people have talked about this before, but I felt like "venting"
I plan on getting one of those "theft-proof" stars, the ones that you can remove when parking in a shady lot.

Person(s) that took it=

Ya, it's happened twice someone screwed around with my star on two benzs I've owned, the latest just 3 weeks ago. But they weren't able to break them off, just twisted and cock-eyed!

It is pretty upsetting for sure,
after my car was messed with, it is a good thing I counld't find the swine that did it,
but once I cooled down I was just super glad they didn't take the car!
It could always be worse....
If I see one of those at the boneyard this weekend, I will grab it for ya.

You can bet that the hood star (and it's cute little fake radiator cap) for my W115 is safe in the glove box when Thing Two is away at school and that car sits unattended for weeks on end.

Some people are such peices of trash.

But look at it this way a new hood star only costs $22, at least they didn't jump on your hood or key your car.

I just put a new one on today, they are pretty cool. If you have never put one in before they are very over enginered.

I removed mine before someone else did, and replaced it with a chrome plug. I like it better actually, the star kind of distracted me. It looks a little less majestic, but so what. Better than going to jail for killing some punk who richly deserves it.

And then everything you own will belong to the person that you injure. Especially if it's a child, a valet parking attendant, even a bum that spritzes your windshield with water at a stoplight. It's the same for those who consider electrifying it or any other booby trap. I'd take the case in a hearbeat and watch you squirm as the jury considers that a person who owns and drives a Mercedes Benz . . . laid a trap for the unsuspecting public, specifically to cause severe injury . . . to protect a $25 hood ornament. Ka-Ching, anyone?

If you sharpen your hood star sure it might be saved, but I bet they take a baseball bat to the rest of your car.

For $22 I'll replace the star and move on with my life.

They have magnetic ones that you can just pull out and put in your glove box if it bothers you that much.

A claymore(sp?) behind the grill would get the job done!

The only thing I would ever consider doing is to hook a very loud air horn up to the star. As the theif pulls the star out he will get the shock of his life! A decent air horn should be good for 120d blast+!
