Interesting Bundt Application
This morning in traffic, on the way to the salt mine, I was behind a well-preserved, mid-70s VW Westfalia bus conversion. Even though they're what I call 'Barbie's Camper' I have to appreciate the fact that bus was 10 years older than my wagon and looked every bit as good as the day it was new.
When I passed him, it took a second to realize that Westfalia was riding on nothing other than Mercedes bundt wheels!!! They looked good on there too! |
I imagine many of the German autos used the same bolt patterns just like US made autos do.

Years ago, I used Vanagon rims and hubcaps on my old 220D. I believe MB rims need to be machined to fit on the VWs though. Been thinking about mounting studded winter tires on my spare set of bundts, then setting them up to fit both our Vanagon and W123.

Hey... now there's an idea! I have a '72 Westy. Wonder if my spare W201 rims & tires will fit?
