The new ones look every bit as good as the old ones. Dont see any plastic at all. Right on. 410,000km and counting.

I was part of that club too, after about two weeks I called them. They apologized and said it was sent out like a week before, but yet it still didn't arrive so they sent out a second set. Well a few days after that one set came in and then another set, I say set because I had 2 mbs with the mileage then. Now I just have to save them until I get another MB.

Two of them! You lucky devil! As for a dealer signing the forms I asked the Mercedes rep on the phone if I could have a notary sign the form being I live over 200 miles from the nearest dealer. She told me it was perfectly fine to do so. As a side note I was surprised that I got a human being to talk to rather than a machine and she was very cordial.

When I called in the first time there wasn't even a press this or that button, it was a person greeting me. That was quite a shocker.

I really don't think that looks cheaper but it may feel it if it is plastic. In a way I kind of think the chrome looks better than gold since the only gold I have on my mb are the gold spinners, handles, and antenna.

The tab and the round medallion are two separate pieces. I can't imagine that it makes the awards less costly. Apparently you'll get both the round badge part and the next mileage tab when you qualify.

Yay!!!

My 250K mileage badge arrived yesterday after waiting many many months!!! HOORAY!!!! Heidi's now sporting two badges - European Delivery and 250KM. If she lasts as long as I'm hoping, I'll need to redirect air through the sunroof to the radiator...

The badges arrived today! After nearly two months of waiting, they're here. Two for the 300D (250k KM, 500K km), one for the 300SD (250K KM). I just have to figure out how to install them. Do I use those plastic things that came with them to help secure them?

Badges

I installed mine using the plastic as backing. Be sure you cut the screws down some or they may damage your car. On a 98 E-300, they will damage the plastic cooling fins when the hood is shut. Leave the nuts on, cut them in half, then back off the nuts to act as a thread chaser. I used blue Loctite
to help keep them secured.

Sure would like to add that "Mercedes Shop Forum" badge that had me salivating earlier this year...

Cheers

And I'm still waiting. I mentioned on a previous thread that I would be a cadaver when I get mine. Now I think that I will probably be a pile of old dry bones.

They are awarded for mileage (in KM) Go to MBUSA.com and click on the "classic" tab. There are instructions and a form to download.
