So right now as I speak the battery light is on in the car, but the funny thing is that the keys are here with me, and the car is not on. By the way, I did a search, but I could not find anything related to this. The car is also hard to start, but I find the most weird thing the fact that the battery light stays on ALL THE TIME!!! Anybody had this happen?

Ironic, I had mine come on this morning as well although mine went off when I turned the lights off. I'm kind of planning on a new alternator.

I replaced my transmission in my 240D awhile ago. while waiting on the new one to come in, I had to park the car for about two weeks at work. With no trans in the car and the ground disconnected from the engine, the battery light stayed on all the time untill I disconnected the battery. When the trans came in and I got it all back together the light stayed out.
