Drilling and Tapping for the Oil Outlet from the Stock Oil fitler is not hard if you remove the Oil Filter Cap and drill between the Casting Webs in the Cap.

I used a different Filter Element but I used 1/8" pipe tap to tap the Hole.

I used a Brass 90 degree elbow Fitting with the 1/8" pipe threads on one and and a 1/4" hose barb on the other. I used 1/4 inch ID Good Year Slip Fit Hose for the in and out hoses.

I do not see how the weight of the Hose or vibration could break off the Brass Fitting. It may be that braided Steel Hose can cause some fittings to break because the Hose is heavy and stiff.

The Motorguard like the Frantz Oil Cleaner uses Toilet Paper or you can by the Elements from the Filter Maker.

However, what I read about the Motorguard is that the Guy who made it got tired of the people who were doubters concerning his product and stopped trying to market them as an automotive Oil Filter.

If you go to their site they sell their Filters as moisture and Oil removers for Air Lines.

However, if you do some eBay searches you will find often find vintage Motor Guard Filters for sale and I can remember one Ad where they had the original instruction open to the page that showed how to set up the Oil Filter on an Engine.

Also on eBay they have vintage Oil Filter adapters that would have go along with the Motor Guard bypass Oil Filter.
So they must have been used on Engines at one time.

I found a pic of the Box. Notice it has easily installed on any Vehicle on it. But, that is a vintage one not the newer ones (the new ones appear to be the same but anodized).
