'82 300TDT with 79k orig miles Value???

So I have this lovely '82 300TDT wagon in top condition full records, history, no accidents, no rust, sunroof, great stereo, perfect interior with 3rd seat, almost perfect in every way on the outside. Orig miles 79k. Well maintained/serviced, etc. I bought the car with 46k miles from the orig family owners (they had it at their vacation house since new)

so what is this thing worth???? just curious becuause either I will invest in new brakes, suspension, etc and get it set up for another several years of service or not.

thoughts/opinions appreciated.....

280GE,

I always thought the original milage on any car was 0. Perhaps you meant the actual mileage?

not for sale

look the car is not for sale, I'm trying to understand its value in regards to how much I should invest in updating it.

the miles are REAL is that better?

ACTUAL???

I've been told that becuase the car has 79k and is a turbo wagon with no rust and actual miles it's desirable

Polished up on ebay it could sell for north of $10k. It is worth putting money into.

280GE,

I don't see anything with call the true mileage actual mileage. To me it sounds better than real mileage.

Maybe we could compromise on "true" mileage?

Just giving you a hard time 280. If it's as nice as you say, AC, cruise, suspension, etc. works works, I agree, maybe 10K.

It might be worth $10k-$15K depending on the market, maybe as much as $20k to the right buyer. If you have all records, and none of the seals and gaskets are worn out, you might be even able to get as much as $25k...

I think we have another eBay winner! Really, if it's as good as you say and the odometer never died, $10-15K is a realistic amount.

Put the crack pipe down, take a shower, get a good nights sleep, re-read your post, and tap the brakes!

{all in fun}
