Diesel purge or rebuild my injectors?

It is spring here in North Carolina, so not very cold. My car starts fine. Glow plugs are new. But has a very rough idle now upon starting. I use diesel fuel treatment every fillup. I purged with Lubro moly about 6 months ago. I rev the engine a little and it will finally smooth out.

Should I purge again or is it time to rebulid injectors?

Do the purge again.....if it doesn't work then I would get them tested....and or rebuilt if needed.

Anytime I come across someone talking about using DP I have to chime in. DP is snake oil. The only way to effectively clean your injectors is to take them apart and soak them in carb cleaner. It's too easy and for the cost of a can of carb cleaner (not the spray kind) vs DP, you can clean lots of injectors. For what I've seen, DP, unless your local parts store carries it, costs close to what you would pay for a can of carb cleaner when you include the cost of getting it shipped to you.
I tried DP once. The car still ran the same after it was run through the system. I then upon the advice of a senior member here pulled the injectors one by one pulled them apart and soaked each injector individually. Before soaking the injectors, I inspected all the parts. They were still dirty and this was just after running the DP. After soaking them in the carb cleaner, the parts sparkled like new. The car idled much better after cleaning them with the carb cleaner.
One last thing, while you're at it make sure you get new heat shields. You can't reuse them after pulling the injectors.

I was assuming he would have been sending them out......if he has the means to pop test them for spray patern due to their milage then doing it at home is a good idea

I just did the diesel purge, and it did not get dirty, and had no noticable effect.

Could you take them to a dealership or someone with the testers to see if it has a good spray pattern? That is what I did with mine when the head came off. The report was that they all sprayed like they should

Yes I could

I either have the dealership or the local diesel injector place. I am sure either one could test and tell me.
