replaced their front speakers on their w123? If so, what do you recommend? I do not want to cut the doors.
I know this is a stereo question, just thought I would get more response in this section.

Check the Audio forum on this site... and try a search....many good recommendations already posted...
It is much better to include the subject of your post in the title.. it really affect the number of people who look at it.... and one of those that chose not to due to the title might be the one with the best info... |

The doors?
Front speakers are in dash, two little screws... Make sure you get low profile speakers, so the grills still fit.

pioneer makes some speakers that fit perfect in a 123. The four corner bolt holes are perforated so you can snap them off clean then they drop right in.

Posting a thread with the title "Anyone" and no description of the problem will get you no response from most of the techs in Shop Forum. You are wasting peoples time. You will most likely get 1 of these 2 responses. 1) they wont even read your post because of the subject title. or 2) they will post a response but it wont have anything to do with your problem. It will most likely be to advise you to be more descriptive in your subject title (like I am currently doing).
If someone is a specialist on A/C's. They will have to click on your post just to realize that it has nothing to do with A/C's. After awhile techs wont even take the time to read your post. Just some friendly advice...
