Charging no problem.Battery was 11 years old, overdue I would say. It was a good excuse to pull the tray, clean it up and paint it, clean all the grunge out from underneath.

At least you were able to see your battery.
I had to check my Haynes manual to find the battery on LOML's '95 Dodge Stratus. Then I had to drag out the jack and pull the drivers front wheel to change it.  Michael
