Most Excellent Mercedes Experience
So...
I'm driving to school today, the fuel gauge on my 300sd indicates that there is a 1/4 tank of fuel left. I'm cruising northbound on 101 going through south San Jose when I run out of fuel. ****...now I'm going to miss my class and it's going to costa small fortune to get some one to bring me a little bit of fuel to get me to the next diesel filling station. So, just for the heck of it I call the 1-800 number on the inside of the glove box, Mercede road side assistance, and they actually came out and gave me a coule of gallons of fuel at no charge. Unbelievable, considering my car is 24 years and I'm not the original owner.

Hmmmmm.....maybe I'll run out of fuel more often! ......kidding
That's great! I've often wondered if they would really come if I called that number? Nice to know they're still keeping their word.
