Super Mega Cheapo Air filter for 123 turbo

I found that a junk yard air filter connector hose from a 240D fits perfectly over the turbo intake. It has a nice flexible rubber gasket. It also mates up perfectly on the other end to a Fram CA8805 which is about ten bucks at Walmart.

I've got it seated right up against the stock air scoop. No need to tie it in, it's a good friction fit. It has a rubber cap that is easily cut to accept a crankcase venthose (I need to make this prettier). I just stuffed the guts out of an aftermarket oil breather filter into the orifice of my oil breather hose for the time being (yet another thing I'd like to make prettier).

The difference is amazing! It's getting a huge flow of cool air.

Almost like what I made. I just used ABS plastic and vented the crankcase to the atmosphere.
