85 300sd Turbo or NA?

OK.... now I am real confused. I just assumed an 85SD would be turbo but looking at parts list it says 85SD is a 617.951 (non turbo right?) where the 617.952 is turbo?

Sooooo... that means and 85SD is Non Turbo? or were some NA and some Turbo? I didn't look under the air cleaner I just assumed the one I looked at was Turbo

Ok, now that we've got that out of the way. The OM617.951 was found on the 300SDs of 1981 to 1985, a turbocharged engine. The OM617.952 is what is found on the 300TD, 300CD, and 300Ds of 1982 to 1985, turbocharged as well. The non-turbo OM617 was called the OM617.912 on all W123 300Ds made from 1977 to 1985, both US and Euro models, on W115 300Ds it was the OM617.910. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure on this but...

The 952 in my TD had an electric oil pressure sender and BIG white 952 letters painted on the front of the crankcase.

That's about all I can tell them apart with.
