Now that I have the snow tires off and it's a bit warmer, I am definitely getting better mileage again. But not quite 15 km/L (~35 mpg). Still, I am driving 120 km/h every day for 150 km so 14 km/L isn't all that bad.

39 mpg! That is so good. How many miles do you have on that beautiful machine? I would love to have a more recent diesel engine, mainly because of the look, and the reliabiltily. UNfortunately im stuck with the 81 diesel i named ****er.

Yeah, he's got the air shocks pumped up in the rear so everywhere he drives is "downhill"

No it is US Gallon. I am getting 16 km / Liter or 6.25 liters / 100 km. If you covert that to US it works out to 39 MPG.

I thought Canada used the Imperial gallon and not the smaller US gallon.

We use litres here, but for my post I converted to US gallons. Sounds like dieselmbfan did that same.. What speed were you driving and was it only highway? I think the best I got last summer was driving through Saskatchewan heading east at an average speed of about 130 km/h. Of course it is slightly down hill all the way to Ontario .. and I believe that part of the trip averaged to about 15.5 L/100km or 37 mpg. I imagine if I had been driving slower it would be slightly better, but the car just loved going 130-140 and the drive was so boring!!

Not sure if I've had any better.

I don't know if we use the imperial gallon or not.. I don't come across much stuff that's in gallons, if ever.

Data: I was doing around 110 - 120 Km for the duration of the trip. It was 80% Highway and baout 20% City. My daily commute is 110 km each way. I can see the $$ signs in savings already.

Arrrgh!!! Too... much... metric.... system.... cannot.... take it....
That's good MPG there, 39... I don't think I could get that unless I kept my foot out of it and it was all the way downhill. That metric system is too much for me. Like Grandpa Simpson once said in "The Simpsons:" The metric system is the tool of the devil! My car gets forty rods to the hogshead and that's the way I likes it. That's one of his quotes in my sig as well.
