Hey..I have done that before when I was on my Harley....I always carry a handfull of old lug nuts for dimwits that like to get 5 feet behind me....

One night in the mid 80's I was driving home from a long day at work...it was like 11:30PM 4 punks , guys thought it was funny to get about 3 feet off my back tire......at 70 mph...I speed up they sped up, I changed lanes , they changed lanes...3 miles of this I took my helmet off...and chucked it over my shoulder and through their windshield...I bet they thought that was real funny too, since I saw their taillights three sepperate times as they spun out.... They were all college age guys....probibly drinking...

Only time I ever had to go that far to protect my safety.

Brake fluid = bad idea

When I was a young man, we used to load up the ice chest with beer and head to the beach. Once I had to take a piss, but the driver wouldn't stop. I rolled down the back window in his station wagon and turned loose. I was rewarded with spray-back into the face, body, and car. YUCK!

Better stick to giving them a smoke screen via Italian tune up.

Cool I dunno about the rest of Louisiana . . .

. . . but NO and its area is full of nuts. I think they're frightened of all the stalks by the steering wheel; they certainly have no idea about turn signals.

I've given up being so damn nice. Nowadays more and more people are getting my horn, and a nice long blast, too. If somebody wants to get into my lane, if he puts on his turn signal, I back off and let him merge in. If he can't be bothered to flick a lever, I close up the space while blasting the horn to warn him off. (Like some of you, I need more horn. A lot of these clowns with the crashing thumping noises from their speakers -- music, I guess they call it -- probably can't even hear my stock MB horn.)

Doesn't always work, and I'm not going to bluff somebody in a big pickup truck. But even once in a while, it's worth it.

I remember that the diesels were always good for smoking tailgaters. When I was a little boy, and my mom would have someone tailgating us in the 300SD, she would just get on the pedal and smoke em.
Boy, that was fun!

I unfortunately have no more smoke in my 300D. I use Power Service and Redline at most fill ups, and I gave it an Italian Tuneup on the steep Beltway 8 bridge over the Houston Ship Channel yesterday, and it didn't smoke at all. So, I don't have the secret weapon for tailgaters anymore, although the SD does, since it's not driven as hard as my car.

First of all, ditto to what dyametricalbenz wrote. Drivers aren't much better in San Diego.

I don't know about all women, but when I feel the need to lean on my horn, I'm po'd because I've already had to deal with an inconsiderate yahoo earlier in the drive. I don't think there's a direct link to honking/PMS or menopause.

I've seen/heard plenty of MEN leaning on their horns unnecessarily.

A few weeks ago, I was sitting in the left lane at a light during afternoon rush hour. Some guy on the opposite side comes tearing around to get into the turning lane, intending to cross over the double yellow lines. He's now about to plow into me & realizes I'm "blocking" his way. He leaned on his horn, gave me the finger & mouthed off. I sat back, crossed my arms over my chest & glared at him. The guy next to me let me ahead of him once the light turned green but the ********* caused a bit of a jam with the rest of the traffic. My husband hates it when I react this way (stubborn) b/c he thinks I'm going to get myself shot.

It's cultural too, I think. My cousin lived most of her life in the Philippines but lives in South Carolina now. I was stunned when I drove around with her a few months ago & all she did was blow on the horn for no apparent reason (at least none that I could justify). I realized of course that blowing your horn in the Philippines is just part of the language of driving.

This just happened to me 20 minutes ago...light turned green and I wasn't quite quick enough for the silly young girl behind me who obviously has a much more important life than I do...probably working on a cure for cancer. She lives up the block from me...I think this evening when I walk my dog I'll pin a note on her windshield begging her forgiveness for holding up her precious life by half a second and also warn her to use the horn with discretion since here in Southern Calif. people tend to shoot each other. Lucky for her I'm religiously taking my Prozac. I think a lot of people gain a sense of invincibility behind the wheel and behave much differently than if they were face to face with somebody.

My stock horns gave up on me. I now have a set of air horns, although their tone isn't to my liking. It definitly does the trick now. They've already saved me from another newspaper-reading-while-merging driver. I really got a kick out of the "what the hell was that!?" look on his face!

I carry one of those tire valve removal tools for such people. Nothing like four flat tires to slow them down a bit.

Filling them with air doesn't help much.

The reason we women use the horn more aggressively then Men...

is because generally speaking, we do everything more aggressively then men and we also do everything much smarter and better and sexier.
I say relax, Bubba! This is the 21st century and there are more women executives now then men and Hillary will be in the big house in 2008 and if she aint, Connie will. You dont think Martha let herself go off to jail by accident--did ya? It was a Career move...
You can cover more ground with the shake of your Fanny and a cute smile then with those greasy flabby muscles you guys tend to flex under pressure... Just my two cents, cuties...

I'm not one who usually honks but I will if you sit for more than 3 seconds at a green. For those tailgaters, its all about the cuttlefish effect. I love the incident i had when I had my W124 in storage for 2 months, took it for a spin, billowing smoke like crazy, just so happens that a new BMW was being a "king of the road" cutting everyone off, using anything to pass. Well he gets up right behind me and flashes the high beams, I floored it, and wow... all that was left was his 2 xenons shining through the smoke, he backed off quick.

Maybe she was upset because she couldn't find her parking spot

If she continues to bother you...well...you could look into having your pet help you...

Maybe she is connected

You could invest in a bumper sticker like this one

Last but not least...If you see her in the grocery store

I hope this makes you laugh. I know how frustrating it can be.
