Busted My Tailgate Window!!

Went & busted my tailgate window yesterday!! Had the back loaded with groceries & put in a computer monitor last that I was taking to my parents house & misjudged where it would hit when I closed the hatch. :( Completely shattered the darn thing. Called around this morning & after calling a couple places that couldn't get it I found that Safelite Autoglass has it & will come out & put in a new one for $229. Not too bad, I thought. That's all installed & everything. They're supposed to be here on Monday. Luckily it's been nice here all week & the same for this weekend!

doh! that sounds like the kinda thing I'd do.

I've got a really annoying crack in my windscreen at the moment and can't afoord to replace it yet. It's a really fine crack so I think it's a defect.

Make sure it has the rear window defogger elements.

They replaced it this afternoon. It looks nice, brand new PPG glass. It did have the defogger on it, luckily! I called this morning before they got here to make sure. The guy found a nice rust spot under the rubber on the bottom side of it too, darn it! I guess it's really easy to get the glass out, so I can fix it one of these days.

Did they use a new seal? If not you may want to check for leaks before the next big rainstorm.
