Favorite expressions that relate to Diesels

This is a totally hijacked idea. was reading some skiing related forum which had posted skiing expressions, and I choose to carry the idea over here to see what we come up with.

One Wise and generous soul signed off under the heading of "Compression Monkey" which hit my funny bone at the time. any one else have some favore method of relating to these wounderful engines?

Boy, you know that you are addicted when you have to put numbers in parentheses (3X, 2X etc.) to keep track of all your vehicles so that the list is not too long.

BTW, those upper control arms looked fine and installed without any issues on the 126.125. I compared them quite favorably with the factory originals that were removed.

My '85 300TD gets slandered by its vanity plates

because I originally got them for my previous diesel: an '85 VW Jetta: the plates are "OLD SMKY." The M-B is almost totally smoke free, even on a rather low percentage (30/70) WVO/#2 blend, but sometimes I think that people who don't recognize the allusion may think it means that the car belongs to a retired state trooper. In fact I had a security guard at a snooty gated community ask me that once, and on another occasion a patrol car on I70 in Ohio came up behind me when I was significantly over the speed limit, and when I slowed down gradually, he waved and smiled as he passed.
