Oil smell out of heater vents

I seem to be getting a oil smell out of the vents when the heater is on. Not diesel or coolant. The smell is gone when the ACC is on cooling mode. What should I look for?

Thanks,

I think perhaps you need to clean the engine compartment area. Oil and stuff can cause the smell under there. Clean it up, and you'll probably get rid of the smell

Thanks,
Take a close look at your crankcase ventilation system and check for leaks there.
They best way I have found to do this is drive the car, get it good and hot, and then pop the hood and look for oil vapors coming out of/around tubes dealing with the crankcase vent stuff.

Mine used to leak, so I replaced it...problem solved

Is it an oil smell or a antifreeze smell? when the car is cold smell the antifreeze fluid and compare. If it IS antifreeze your heater core may be leaking. If not then you may have tolook at the engine compartment.

It has been done, I did it the day after it broke.

I will check the breather lines tonight when I get the car back, my father decided to take it to my brothers baseball game.
