Valve adjust, CHECK the chain stretch, CHECK the ignition timing, CHECK the boost signal line (and it may be time for a bit of adjustment at the ALDA).
The rocking at idle is normal for these engines, merely means the anti-vibration spring in the IP that keeps the fuel control rack from bouncing is loose. This can be adjusted, and new bolt can be fitted, but eventually it will become permanent. The only choice at that point is an IP teardown, which I would personally not do unless there was something else wrong. Peter

Thanks for the continued responses guys.
As far as turbo boost goes, its there and strong. A couple of months ago I had to replace some parts in the throttle linkage, and that is up to spec and working fine as of now. I have a good feeling that with a valve adjustment, and the checking of the other previously mentioned points, that I will either relieve or eliminate my power and vibration problems. However, I wont know what the issues are until I get around to doing all this stuff. I should have an idea of whats going on by friday or saturday, and will post the results then. Thanks again for all the help, this forum never fails to impress.
