Need Help Replaced the K1 kit on my 300 SD 1985

Need Help Replaced the K1 kit on my 300 SD 1985 it work good for about 1 da,y today I took the car for a spin and found the trans don’t up shift to 3-4 it stays on 2 even if I go to 4500 rpm.
Checked the vacuum lines all are ok.
Did the K1 kit was not properly done?
Am I looking to a trans rebuild or may be something easy?
Any suggestions?.

Out of curiosity, try disconnecting the electric kickdown switch behind the pedal.

Does an 1984 300 SD federal auto trans can be switched to the 1985 300 Sd california, with no major problems?
I ask this couse the pan gasket and the trans mount on the 85 is different but the filter is the same to the 84.
And have a donor car.

I may be wrong, but I thought the 1985 300SD trans was a "one year only" model?

Just came back from the shop they are ready to install the trans, the housing is the same just a little bit taller but fits ok, the kick down switch is different on the 85 just changing the wires (same color on both cars) and using the 84 plug on the car with the 84 trans
More when everything is done and tested.
