Tom, When you are adjusting these to match them up... How do you do that ?
Are we talking trying different thicknesses of washer... or changing the thickness of the washers yourself ? Or changing something else ?

I use two methods. First is swapping shims (I would never try to reduce a shim size as they are surface ground and trying to get them machined with a flatness tolerance isn't happening in my machine shop - I do have a certified granite surface table, but getting a shim that small machined flat is not worth the effort), the other is swapping springs. Spring length does not have as marked an effect on pressure (in other words, .002-.005 on the spring is like .001 on a shim), but I do have to resort to that to get me there sometimes.

I have shims separated by the thou and springs the same way, after a while, you can just throw parts together, get a reading and know you need to swap a .055 shim out for a .067 shim to hit 135bar. It will be within a thou and a few more tests/shimmings and you're there.

BTW, I offered to meet with Mattdave (or Davematt?) while in San Jose next week (to exchange injector knowledge), but haven't heard back from him.

OK, I'll try to call when I'm there. PLEASE edit your post to remove your home telephone # and your email, not the kind of things you want advertisers crawling and procuring.
