OT - any Ford 7.3 experts out there?

Is anyone in touch with The Warden?

Please send me a private message or direct email through mbshop. Click on my name at the top of this post for direct messaging options.

Thanks,

I am not an "expert", but I have a 6.9 ( almost same as 7.3) IDI that I have managed to work on it to keep it going for six years and well over 100,000 miles in that time.
The place where Warden would send you is the best site out there for Ford diesels. It used to be called " Ford-Diesel.com", but Ford Motor Comapny lawyers got all upset and it was changed to " thedieselstop.com". Lots a very knowledgeable people over there. Just like here, do a search before posting your question.
I'll help you all I can.

Michael

"The Warden" is an expert in my opinion.. I was looking at a pickup with a 6.9 and he really had the inside knowledge on what to look for... I read that site first... but he really knows his stuff....

I worked on 20 and rebuilt 6 7.3L's (IDI and DI) for 6 months while I worked at Diesels Only here in Denver. I'm not an expert but I know enough not to buy one (A 6.0L I'd think about if it didn't have an EGR).

I've had my 6.9 for 7 years- and been into it down to the heads to remove busted GPs- PM me (and I hope you aren't having cavitation problems)

Amen to that site...

it's saved me bundles of time and money working on my 7.3, much like this site has for my SDL
