Heres a pic. of the debris RCI fuel purifier out of the fuel...

After 1 hour of use. My pre-filter (clear filter) looks brand new still. I cant see any dirt in it at all. The fuel is dark from the WVO I am running.

I am running 60% WVO Canola/40% Diesel blend. 8 gal. diesel / 12gal. WVO. Now 8 gal. of diesel will take me 500 miles or 62.5 mpg!!

I have found that all the problems with running WVO are filtration issues on MB diesels.Either by using junk WVO or poor fuel filtration or both.

How are you calculating MPG???
That figure is not possible.
Please check your math again.

If you are using the odometer, check it with GPS, at least a mile, on three random days.

He's mixing 8 gallons of diesel with 12 gallons of WVO....so he's going 500 miles on 8 gallons of purchased diesel, so yes, its definately 62.5mpg for the diesel he purchased....excluding the distance done on the additional 12 gallons of mixed in WVO....

Thumbs up I beleive

The calculation is based on how much "diesel" is being burned per mile. Not actual fuel economy.

Im using the RCI FP-80. A FP-50 will also work for a Mercedes its the smallest filter they make.

I talked to the guy at RCI and he told me that the larger filters will work on lower hp engines than there made for. In fact he told me all they work with as little flow as gravity feed. So if you can fit one of your BIG filters on the car it will work.

It would also make a GREAT filter for WVO before you pour the WVO into your tank. Call RCI to find out more info.

Question Nice!

That's some impressive nasty stuff you have there! I have a couple of questions about the RCI Purifier. Do you know how many microns it filters to? To what temperature does it heat the fuel leaving the filter?

It filters 100%water out of the fuel & filters soilds down to 10 microns. In a nutshell this filter will keep the stock filters from getting clogged.

The heater is only 72W not alot of heat but it helps. If I let it pre heat for about 5 mins. before starting the fuel/oil it is pretty hot.

I found theres a little perk to the RCI PURIFIER...The car has more power. Why? I believe because theres no more water in the fuel. I have a book on Diesel engines and the #1 cause listed for lack of power is water in the fuel.

My car ran very strong before 0-60 in 13 secs. I have not checked it since I installed the RCI filter. It runs stronger now.
