Silly question regarding Oil Filter packet
Whenever I purchase a STP or any oil filter for my 603 from a mc parts store, they all seem to come with a filter and a little bag with a big o-ring, a small o-ring, and 2 brass crush rings.
The big rubber o-ring goes with the oil filter housing, obviously. The smaller rubber o-ring, I believe goes on the stem of the oil filter housing. The bigger of the 2 brass crush rings fits either on the oil filter housing stem, or the drain cap. Which is it? And I have no idea where the small crush ring goes. Can someone please help clear this up? Thanks.

I'll take a wild guess and say the brass ring is for the drain plug on the bottom of the filter housing. The reason there are 2 of them is, your filter fits various engines and they don't all have the same size drain plug. Or could the other ring be for the oil pan drain plug?

draining
pan drain plug usually has a copper crush ring for it.
