300SDL--2 washers on oil filter?
Just did a Delvac oil change today on my '87 SDL.The Hengst filter came with 2 washers,one larger than the other.The larger matched right up to the washer on the drain plug.I took a guess where the smaller one belonged and put it on the stem of the cap,between the top and the top of the filter.Then out of anxiety and curiosity I did a search,but nothing DEFINITE came up.Everyone seemed to have an" opinion"..I was hoping for something c ertain.One opinion was that the smaller ring wasn't even used on the SDL! Can someone give me an authoritive answer? Thanks a lot!

The larger washer is used on the oil drain plug.
The smaller washer is not used on the 603.
|
