300d tranny from neutral to drive very slow - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Hi, just bought an 83 300d. new to this forum, so bear with me.
shifting from neutral to drive, or reverse for that matter takes a few seconds. is this normal? thanks.

No it is not.

The first step is a transmission service, filter and oil. I prefer a flush. If you chose a flush, find a shop that has a flushing machine with a pan drop feature, so they can change the filter.
